Title: Exceptional Family Stay with Great Community Vibe

My children wanted more shade options in the room as the direct sunlight made it quite warm in the afternoon. Opening the door for ventilation compromised our privacy, so it would be great to have curtains or blinds to combat the heat without sacrificing privacy.

rockstel towers backpacker surpassed my expectations during my valentine's day stay in unawatuna. the friendly staff, clean rooms, and great vibes made it an unforgettable experience. the rented scooter allowed me to explore easily, and the hostel's common areas were perfect for meeting fellow travelers. highly recommended.

Security could be improved.

Mind-blowingly caring, funny, and kind owner who showed us around and took us to the beach twice. Amazing people and atmosphere that make you feel at home within half a day. Superb dinner options and a nice chef. Had a spacious three-bed dorm all to myself. Nice chill out area with jaw-dropping beautiful paintings. Unbelievable value for the price, with strong internet and comfortable beds with personal fans. Helpful staff who even dropped me off at the scooter rental place. Convenient location with bicycles available for rides to the beach or town. Welcoming and helpful staff, ensuring a safe and fun experience. Clean and comfortable rooms for an incredibly low price. Fun and safe atmosphere, perfect for a group hangout in the evening. Short-cut access to the main road and close proximity to the beach. Get a tuk-tuk for returning to the hostel at night. Excellent off-site car park, shared kitchen, air conditioning, laundry, leisure/ TV room, express check-in/ -out. Hassle-free paid airport shuttle service available. No pets allowed, ensuring a peaceful stay.

Great hostel with good vibes and friendly staff. the common areas were perfect for meeting other travelers. Convenient location within walking distance from the train station. the rooms were clean, comfy, and well-maintained. the hostel offered scooter rentals which made exploring the area easy. Free towels, hot showers, and a fridge were provided. Good value for money.

The rooms were a bit small and lacked storage space. the bathrooms could have been cleaner.

The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. We had a blast exploring the wonders of the great deep while snorkeling with sea turtles. Plus, they even offered fun yoga classes to help us recover from all the adventures. The beach was just a short tuk tuk ride away, where we had a rad time surfing some sick waves. And, let me tell you, Galle Town was off the hook with its vibrant Sri Lankan rhythm!

If there's one thing we'd ask for, it would be more party vibes for us young and wild souls. Some awesome late-night events or themed parties would have taken our stay to the next level.

I stayed at Rockstel Towers for two nights and had an amazing experience. The staff went the extra mile to ensure my stay was enjoyable and made it easy to join activities. I extended my stay for two more nights because I was sad to leave. The hostel has a friendly and relaxed vibe, making it easy to meet other travelers. The rooms are clean, spacious, and not overcrowded. The breakfast was delicious and the dinners were a cute sit-down meal with everyone. I would definitely recommend this hostel and will stay here again when in the area.

location not ideal for beach access

The staff at the reception were efficient and professional. The dorm room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Each bed had a fan and a charging outlet, which was convenient. The bathrooms were clean and there was never a wait to use them. The common area was well-maintained and had a welcoming vibe.

Safety practices can be improved. It would be helpful to have handrails along the staircase.

Felt lucky, no reason to complain

rockstel towers backpacker was a total gem. the property was clean and cool, with comfy beds and good a/c. the staff, especially razlan and rajiv, went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. the chef's local food was delicious, and the vibe was relaxed but fun. highly recommend!

location too remote

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel! the location was peaceful, with beautiful nature surrounding us. We enjoyed a short walk to the beach through a scenic shortcut. the rooms were clean and comfortable, equipped with fans and charging outlets. the bathrooms were well-maintained and we never had to wait to use them. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. the hostel had a cozy chill-out area where we could socialize with other travelers.

The distance from the city center, but it was easily accessible by a cheap bus ride.

The value for money at Rockstel Towers was great and the room was clean and comfy. The location was convenient, close to multiple beaches, and the staff treated me incredibly well.

Food for breakfast could use a little improvement.
